The “Mare Mosso 100 Superleggero” seat is the ideal solution for high-performance military vessels operating in extreme conditions, even under adverse weather. With 100 mm of suspension travel, it is designed to absorb and dissipate the kinetic energy caused by navigation motion. This seat utilizes a contracting elastic device with a hydropneumatic damper, perfect for the toughest working conditions.
“Mare Mosso 100 Superleggero” provides high comfort for both straddle and seated navigation positions. The robust seat structure ensures high reliability and long life, with components designed for extended maintenance intervals.
Technical Features
The seat height is manually adjustable to suit the pilot or passenger’s weight, thanks to rings mounted on the damper body. The seat attachment on the vessel is adjustable longitudinally (+/- 25 mm) manually and is suitable for transverse fixings with M10 screws with a spacing between 150 and 160 mm.

The “Mare Mosso 100 Tricolore” shock-absorbed seat from Umbria Kinetics is designed for military vessel applications: this model is derived from the “Mare Mosso 100 Superleggero” model used by the Italian Navy and Coast Guard. This seat ensures optimal absorption of the kinetic energy generated by navigation motion, thanks to an advanced contracting elastic device with a hydropneumatic damper, ideal for tough working conditions.
Tested on Italian Navy vessels at operational speeds of up to 50 knots, the 100 mm travel suspension system of the “Mare Mosso” family has demonstrated over 30% vibration reduction under extreme conditions (from 4G to 19G). Compared to the standard version, “Mare Mosso 100 Tricolore” offers a wide seat, a high backrest with a headrest, for maximum command position comfort.

The padding, made of fire-resistant polyurethane elastomers and covered with tear-resistant waterproof Cordura fabric, ensures comfort and durability. Numerous options are available: adjustable footrests, a folding table, and rear monitor support.
